Saturday, January 11, saw the official opening of the first exhibition of 2020 at Tenby Museum and Art Gallery.
The Power of Pembrokeshire, an exhibition by the VC Gallery, was officially opened by Tegryn Jones, chief executive of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
The Power of Pembrokeshire was a project funded by the Sustainable Development Fund in conjunction with the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and the Welsh Government.
Barry John MBE, founder and leader of the VC Gallery, introduced the speaker. Tegryn thanked all the staff, volunteers and trustees of the VC Gallery and of Tenby Museum. He stated that it was “an excellent opportunity to see the work in a wonderful exhibition space.
“The Sustainable Development Fund supported this project and we were delighted to do so.
“The National Park is a resource only if people use it, and is wonderful for health and wellbeing.
“This project took advantage of this natural resource to improve people’s wellbeing.
“The variety of styles here is tremendous.
“The works are also for sale and I encourage you to buy!
“A lot of people draw and enjoy art, but the opportunity to exhibit it makes it an even more special experience.
“Hopefully this project is a starting point for all its participants and that all will continue to create such fabulous art as on display here today.”
This wonderful uplifting exhibition is on show at the museum until Saturday, February 1
