A mean thief has deprived charities by making off with an advertising banner for the Tenby Boxing Day Swim.

The banner, which was one of three new ones bought by the swim, disappeared from its location on the corner of the town’s South Parade and White Lion Street on the day of the event.

Said swim chairman Chris Osborne: “We would be very grateful for the safe return of the banner, which can be taken to the Fourcroft Hotel.

“It has just cost us £90, which regrettably will have to come out of the money we are making available to this year’s charities.”
