We are not sure when it was taken, but this week’s Blast from the Past shows a West Wales Vintage Club presentation to the League of Friends and Children’s Ward at Withybush Hospital.

Meanwhile, we are grateful to Gethin Evans for feedback regarding last’s week’s rugby picture. Appearing in it himself, he has told us that it was taken in the early ’90s and was of a Pembrokeshire Golden Oldies side playing against a Welsh Golden Oldies to celebrate the opening of the then newly-levelled playing surface at Tenby United’s Heywood Lane ground.

The Welsh team included such stars as Phil Bennett, Steve Fenwick, Alan Martin etc.... “and they gave us a rugby lesson on the day!” recalled Gethin.
