Narberth police are advising members of the public to be extra vigilant during the early evening/night time hours, following a theft in the village of Maenclochog.

The theft occurred around 11.30 pm, on Tuesday, June 4, when a male person was seen to break into a storage box located on the side of a Pembrokeshire County Council property, and remove a petrol strimmer from inside.

He was then seen to run up towards the centre of the village carrying the strimmer, before being picked up in a white small Transit type van.He is described as white, in his early 20s, with a moustache, wearing a checked jacket and jeans.

If any persons saw either the male or van in the area at the time, they are urged to contact PC1048 Howells at Narberth police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
