Police are investigating an attempted burglary at the HSBC bank in Narberth.

Police were alerted to an alarm which had been activated at the premises in Market Square at 9.47 pm on Sunday.

On arrival, officers discovered that a forced entry had been gained via a rear access of the bank. This is accessed from High Street into an alleyway called Bank Lane.

Said a police spokesman: "No property was stolen and any member of the public who has information surrounding this incident or may have witnessed any suspicious activity by any person in the vicinity of this location is asked to telephone 101 and ask for Narberth police."
