The tiny village of Llanfallteg celebrated Armed Forces Day in style with a contingent from the Air Training Corps from nearby Whitland on parade as the special flag was lowered to the sound of the Last Post.
The event was organised by the Henllanfallteg Community Association. Villagers had collected outside the Millennium Hall on the Monday to see the flag raised honouring our armed forces serving all over the world and came again to see it lowered on Saturday.
Many veterans were present and the flag was lowered by 73-year-old Michael Powell, who served in Germany in the 1950s.
