A male motorist from Pembroke has been given a 12 month driving ban after pleading guilty in court to driving whilst exceeding the prescribed limit of alcohol.

Forty-six-year-old Ricky Davies, of St Anns Crescent, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving a Ford Focus on St Daniels Hill and Commons Road in Pembroke, with 106 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Sian Vaughan told magistrates that the defendant was pulled over by police officers on August 26.

Mr. Davies was disqualified from getting behind the wheel of a car for 12 months and fined £120 for the offence.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
