A Pembroke Dock man has been remanded in custody after denying a series of allegations in court.
Appearing at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, thirty-year-old Daniel Sean Brookes of Bush Street, pleaded not guilty to a charge of robbing Michael Pritchard of £10 and stealing his mobile phone, on October 16; damaging a door belonging to the complainant, and a mobile phone to the value of £250; and also resisting a police constable in the execution of their duty.
Prosecutor Abdul Hussain told magistrates that Mr. Brookes, a chef by trade, was currently on a community order and ‘no stranger to court’ with numerous convictions to his name previously.
Magistrates stated that due to the fact that the defendant was likely to abscond, or offend, and to prevent interference with witnesses or otherwise obstruct the course of justice, he would be remanded in custody until a trial hearing at Swansea Crown Court on November 18.
