An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of stealing a wooden African figurine from a shop in Tenby after he failed to appear in court this week.

Forty-one-year-old Jason Lee Clews, of Meincia, Kidwelly, was due to appear at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court on Tuesday, after being charged with theft to the value of £50, after it was alleged he stole the item from a shop on Upper Frog Street on May 27.

Magistrates issued the warrant without bail to secure the defendant’s attendance in court after he failed to show up for the hearing.
