Tenby Coastguard Rescue team were paged along with HM Coastguard St. Govans on Wednesday (July 29) afternoon to assist Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust paramedics with a casualty at Swanlake Bay, Manorbier.
The team swiftly arrived on scene shortly before 4 pm. After receiving medical care from paramedics, the casualty was assisted by Coastguard officers to an awaiting land ambulance.
As the teams were being stood down from the first incident, another emergency call came into Coastguard operations centre of an person injured on Manorbier beach.
Teams relocated to the scene and commenced first aid.
As this incident was unfolding, another emergency call came in of another casualty near Skrinkle, Manorbier.
Coastguard teams split up to assess the casualty at the new location.
Tenby RNLI’s inshore lifeboat joined coastguard officers at Manorbier beach to assist with manpower whilst awaiting an ambulance, with the casualty then evacuated from the beach to land ambulance.
Meanwhile, at Skrinkle the coastguard team were joined by Welsh ambulance paramedics who assessed the casualty prior to the team evacuating the person from the location via a stretcher carry out.
The casualty was then transferred to land ambulance for further treatment, before teams were stood down.
