Tenby Coastguard Rescue team along with HM Coastguard St.Govans and Tenby RNLI’s all weather lifeboat were paged to a report of a dog that had fallen over the cliff that morning.
Whilst the RNLI crew provided safety cover from the water, Coastguard teams performed a technical rope rescue to reach the stranded dog, which was recovered back to the top of cliff and reunited with its owners.
Later that day Tenby’s Coastguard rescue team were paged for the second time, along with their flank team HM Coastguard Llansteffan to assist Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust crew with the evacuation of a casualty who had fallen on rocks at Amroth beach.
The casualty was carried from the beach by both crews to awaiting land ambulance and taken for further care to Withybush hospital in Haverfordwest.
