A Neyland man charged with producing four cannabis plants in his bedroom wardrobe has been fined in court.
Thirty-eight-year-old Damian Hill, of Gordon Parry Road, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court, on Tuesday.
Prosecutor Vaughan Pritchard-Jones told the court that police officers executed a search warrant at Mr. Hill’s address, on September 9, and found four cannabis plants in a trough in a wardrobe in the defendant’s bedroom.
“The defendant told the police that had the plants matured, he would have smoked the cannabis himself,” he explained.
Defence solicitor Mark Layton told the court that his client gave a full and frank admission in a police interview.
“They were very small plants, and only two of them would’ve produced any cannabis,” he told magistrates.
Mr. Hill was fined £120 for the offence and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 and a £30 victim surcharge.
