On February 24, Pembrokeshire’s MP, Mr. Desmond Donnelly completed 20 years unbroken service for the county of Pembrokeshire.

A celebration was to be held at the Cambrian Hotel in Saundersfoot.

Heavy snowfall in the early morning rush hour resulted in chaos. Pupils from Whitland and Martletwy were sent home as the conditions worsened.

Several vehicles were involved in an accident on the Tenby to Pembroke Dock road not far from Gumfreston Church.

Tenby’s Town Clerk, Mr Wynne Samuel, told members of the Borough Council’s general purposes committee that he had been informed that Mr. Desmond Donnelly MP had met with the Transport Minister on the matter of the Whitland to Pembroke Dock line.

Mr. Samuel told councillors that no decision had been made.
