Founded in 2005 by Wendy Simmonds, Narberth and District Ladies' Probus Club entered its 10th anniversary year by holding its annual general meeting on Friday at its regular venue, Plas Hyfryd Hotel, Narberth.

After the retiring president, Joan Manning, presented her report of the club's varied activities during 2014, the new committee was elected.

Reflecting the wide geographical area from which the club draws its members, the new committee is Sandra Thompson, president/secretary, from Hundleton, Vanya Hunter, vice-president, from Llansteffan, Dilys Yea, treasurer, from Maidenwells, Mair Evans, social secretary, from Llanllwch, Maureen Jones from Freshwater East and Jane John from Lampeter Velfrey, committee members.

Members then considered a comprehensive list of recommended speakers who will be approached to complete a full year's programme which will be available at the next meeting on Friday, February 6, at Plas Hyfryd Hotel, at 11 am. Vanya Hunter will give a presentation at this meeting on her recent visit to Australia, which will be followed by lunch.
