Saundersfoot Sports Club (sponsored by LG Leisure Ltd) played the British Legion Club from Milford on Monday evening in their penultimate league match of the season, and were 4-1 winners.
The first frame saw captain Glyn Davies play A. Thomas. Glyn started badly, going behind by 20 points early on. He struggled throughout the frame, but by the colours got his act together, clearing up to win a frame he shouldn’t have won.
The second frame was due to feature Martin Durham, but his opponent never showed up. As a result, Martin had a wal over for the second week running (that will put his win averages up).
The third frame saw Dean Ludlow play R. Jones. Dean was in good form again, and, despite being unlucky last week on the black, controlled the frame well to win comfortably.
The fourth frame saw Gary Webster play D. Malloy. Gary started well and by mid-frame was 21 points up. He continued to pot well and closed the frame out well.
The final frame saw Darren Morgan play G. Barrett. Darren started slowly, falling behind by 14 points early on. He got going mid-fame, but then imploded, with mistakes costing him dear as he went on to lose on the blue.
