The championship football season kicked-off last Friday with the opening match being awarded to Brighton who beat off championship regulars Notts Forest 1-0.

This also sees the KMF Championship Trophy kick-off its sixth year friendly competition, with the team who finishes the highest in the championship winning this year’s prestigious trophy.

Previous winners were Swansea, Cardiff and West Ham to name but a few, with last year’s winning team Norwich being picked by Jamie Hubberd, of Autoglym Swansea (pictured) who received the 2014/15 winning cup.

This year, the winning trophy in the shape of a gold football is highly-desired with quite a few supporters all eager to get their hand on it to bring their team some good luck!

So good luck to all for this year’s competition!
