On Sunday, November 4 Milford travelled to St. Florence. The girls played 7 a side against a new Milford team. St. Florence started the game well with many of the girls playing a football match for the first time. Esmee scored four quick goals to put the girls ahead. There was some good football played by all the girls with some good passing creating chances for each other. New players Isla, Sienna and Florence were growing in confidence as the game went on. By half time the score was 7 nil after more goals from Molly and Sirene.
In the second half the girls continued to create chances with Esmee scoring 2 more goals and Mia scoring also taking the score to 10 nil.
With the game over when the score goes to 10 goal difference, Milford wanted to carry on as they wanted to gain experience for their girls who carried on trying to score despite the result. They would have scored if it wasn’t for the great defending from the St. Florence Girls.
The game finished with Isla scoring her first goal for the club and Molly, Mia and Esmee scoring again. The big cheer came when Milford managed to score the goal their determination deserved.
The team - Sirene, Isla, Florence, Mia, Molly, Esmee and Sienna.
