Under 12s - With the positions so close at the top of the league, St. Florence knew that they have to win all their games to have a chance to finish on top.

The game started with Camrose having the first shot on target and only a really good save from Alex kept them out.

St. Florence were soon in front, with Mabli setting-up a chance for Teigan to get her first of the day.

Mabli was on the scoresheet herself a couple of minutes later with a fine shot. Teigan got another four goals before half-time as she had the eye for goal with some good finishing.

The girls were playing really good football, their passing and running off the ball creating spaces and chances for each other.

Emily was the next to score from Charlotte’s corner, the ball falling to Emily at the far post who controlled it and smashed it in.

The score was eight-nil at half-time after Fiona scored after being put through by Mabli.

Even though Camrose hadn’t scored in the first half, it wasn’t from the lack of trying. It was also down to some good defending by Ella, Nancy and Teaghan.

In the second half, St. Florence were again on the attack, with Charlotte scoring after a good pass by Alex. Teigan was again on target after a great through ball by Mabli. Alex played really well up front in the second half and set-up the next goal for Teigan.

The biggest cheer of the day came when a Camrose attack resulted in them getting a goal, which they deserved for keeping on playing with smiles on their faces.

Teigan got her eighth of the day after a really good finish from Charlotte’s corner, while Charlotte herself got the last two goals, even though Fiona, Mabli and Ella all had chances that just missed the target.

It was a great display by the girls. The game finished Camrose 1 St. Florence 14.

Under 14s - After a very good game against Narberth the previous week, the girls were looking forward to this week’s game. The girls have been improving every time they play, and against Camrose on Sunday, they managed to get their first win of the season.

With all the girls scoring and playing well as a team, they really enjoyed themselves. With three games left in the season, the girls can hopefully finish the season on a high.

Under 10s - St. Florence Under 10s travelled to Camrose for a Mother’s Day game.

The team included Ellie, in goal, who through her kicking created various attacking opportunities. St. Florence were quick out of the blocks with two quick well-taken goals from Megan.

St. Florence continued attacking throughout the first half, with Maddy being rewarded for her industrious play with a poacher’s goal.

Sienna and Neve were impressive in defence, with Camrose struggling to create opportunities.

The second half kicked-off with Ruby pressing the Camrose defence and being rewarded with two goals, one a well-taken bottom corner finish and the other a poacher’s goal.

Megan got her hat-trick with the goal of the game. The ball was played from the defence to Maddy on the right, who cut in and squared a lovely pass to Ruby in the middle of field, who threaded a neat ball through to Megan on the left, and she drilled an excellent shot into the bottom left corner of the goal.

Laura is getting more accustomed to her midfield role with each game she plays. Her battling work was rewarded with her first goal for St. Florence, much to the delight of her team-mates.

Ellie, continually encouraging her defence, was rewarded with another clean sheet. Sienna and Neve are building a solid defensive partnership, with Sienna having a no nonsense approach and Neve having an amazing ability to read the game, with unbelievable fitness and recovery levels.

Megan scored her fourth goal to cap a fine performance, while an own goal from Camrose made the final score 9-0.

It was a fine team performance from St. Florence, who would like to thank Camrose for the warm welcome they received. A sportingly played Sunday morning game to start Mother’s Day.
