Narberth are out of this year’s West Wales Intermediate Cup after bowing out in the second round of the competition.

The Bluebirds travelled to Llandarcy to take on FC Nedd and just failed in their quest to reach the third round after losing 3-2.

The home side just had the edge throughout even though Dafydd Wright and then Tony Evans drew the visitors level, but a late goal by the hosts saw them come out on top.

Pennar Robins are also out after losing 5-0 away at Giants Grave.

Better news for Carew, however, as their good form continued with a 4-1 win at Glynneath Town.

Sam Christopher proved his worth to the Rooks to finish with a hat-trick, while Rob Whitfield also got in on the act in a comprehensive display all-round for the visitors.

Meanwhile at Lamphey, the home team lost 3-1 against Knightsbridge Colts, with Josh Stewart grabbing the Stags’ only goal.

Monkton’s game against Mountain Dew was postponed, but that matters little as they have been removed from the competition after playing an ineligible player in the first round.

The game has now been awarded to Wales Tartan.

In league football, Angle were held to a draw at home to Herbrandston after the game finished 2-2.

Josh Clarke scored both for the home team in what was their first draw of the season.

In division two, Lawrenny went down 3-1 at Johnston, while Kilgetty had a good 5-1 win at home to Letterston.

Dylan Davies grabbed Hundleton’s only goal in their 1-1 draw at Prendergast Villa, while Saundersfoot Sports produced their best performance of the season to demolish Solva 10-1.

The Cope brothers were in fine form, with Richard scoring three and Nicky grabbing two goals.

Other scores came from Kyle Marsh, Geoff Marsh and Jack Franklin who, like Cope, finished with three to his name.

Saturday didn’t work out to be quite so profitable for St. Clears, however, as they lost 3-2 at home to Hakin United seconds.

John Seeley and Sean Seymour Davies grabbed the goals for the hosts.

In division three, St. Florence suffered away at Camrose, losing 7-0 in a sobering afternoon for them, while Carew seconds lost 2-0 at home to Milford United seconds

Defeat for Pembroke Boro also after going down 3-2 at Milford Athletic, while goals from Liam Phillips and Josh Lazelle helped Narberth seconds overcome Pendine 2-1. Duane Reynolds scored for the Gulls.

In the game between Pennar Robins’ seconds and Manorbier United, the home side came out on top winning 5-1.

Lamphey seconds failed to raise a team for their away clash at Fishguard Sports’ seconds, but Kilgetty seconds did at Broad Haven, although they only had a Ben Harries goal to show for their efforts in a 2-1 defeat.

Goals from Steve Trivett, Joe Gouldingay and Tristan Hancock were enough for St. Clears’ seconds to win 3-2 at Herbrandston seconds, while Angle seconds had a day to forget, losing 12-0 at Neyland.

Pennar thirds beat St. Ishmaels’ seconds 6-0, while the game between Monkton Swifts seconds and Solva seconds was postponed as a result of the Swifts’ first game being postponed by the WWFA.

On to division five and it was a close game between Carew thirds and Saundersfoot Sports’ seconds, with the Rooks coming out on top 3-2 thanks to goals from Adam Hughes, Alan Townsend and Ethan Shapcott.

Herbrandston seconds and Cosheston AFC played out an interesting derby, with the honours going the way of Cosheston.

They won 2-1 thanks to goals by Boswell and Wickland, while Connor Hay grabbed the only score for the hosts.

Harry Thomas scored four goals in Lawrenny seconds’ 7-1 win at home to Johnston seconds, while Sam Davies struck twice and Liam Woodford once in the one-sided win, while the game between Pembroke Boro seconds and Camrose seconds was abandoned after 38 minutes.
