Narberth won their second match of the season on Saturday following an excellent performance at home against Johnston. After suffering a hammering at the hands of Tenby in their second game of the campaign, the Bluebirds bounced back to win 4-0 against the Tigers as Sean O’Neil grabbed a hat-trick and Tony Evans the other.

Connor Willis and Nathan Ferrier scored for Angle, yet their goals were not enough to see the hosts over the line against Neyland as the Nomads prevailed 4-2, while the goals were certainly raining down at Monkton as the Swifts hammered Milford United 5-1. Ryan Griffiths found the back of the net twice, with Ben Nicholas, Dan Scourfield and Jason Finnegan netting the others.

There was a shock at Bush Camp as Lamphey beat the home team 3-0. Ross Fortune grabbed the first, before Sam Southcott added the others.

Carew, meanwhile, lost 5-0 at West Dragons, who are this season’s early pace-setters.

In division two, St. Clears remain winless after three games, having conceded a total of 19 goals while scoring just four. Two of those came in Saturday’s 7-2 away defeat against Merlins Bridge seconds, with the visitors’ goals coming from Jonathan Thomas and Will Evans.

A goal by Owen James wasn’t enough to prevent Lawrenny losing 2-1 at home against Prendergast Villa, while Hundleton lost 4-2 at St. Ishmaels, despite goals from Lewi Barnikel and Craig Manning.

Narberth seconds won 4-0 at Johnston seconds, while the game between Pendine and Pennar Robins’ seconds was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

It was one of three games to be called off due to the weather over the weekend in Pembrokeshire. So, too, was the game between St Clears’ seconds and Pennar Robins’ thirds.

Carew seconds were able to play, however, although they lost 3-1 at home, with Harry Ryan scoring their only goal.

If it was raining goals at Monkton, then they were finding the back of the net in biblical proportions at Manorbier United as the hosts won 9-1. Llangwm were the victims of the rampant hosts as James Hall scored three and Mike Ryder and Martin Protheroe two each. Joe McKeown and James Nicholas had the others.

In division four, Lamphey seconds won 5-0 at home against their counterparts from Solva after a fine hat-trick by Jason Evans was followed up by goals from Andy Evans and John Goodrick.

Pembroke Boro, meanwhile, secured the biggest win of the day as they stuffed Neyland seconds 13-0. Phil John, Jake Campbell and Paul Sharp all scored twice for the hosts, yet star of the show was Mark Evans as he finished with three. Rhys Allison, Kieran Walton and George Macbeth scored the others.

At St. Florence, goals by Ashley Smith and Phil Evans ensured they beat Fishguard Sports 2-1.

Meanwhile, in division five, there was defeat for Kilgetty seconds as they went down 4-1 at Broad Haven seconds, despite Andrew Evans scoring for the visitors.

Better news for Carew thirds, however, as they beat Pembroke Boro seconds 4-2 thanks to goals from Barry Evans and three from Adam Muscatt, while Matt Smith scored twice for the away team.

Hundleton seconds beat Lawrenny reserves 4-1 as Bill Abraham scored twice, with Connor Hay and Mark Jones hitting the others, and finally, Monkton Swifts’ seconds won 6-3 at Llangwm reserves.
