Monkton cemented their grip at the top of division one of the Manderwood football league with a workmanlike win at Herbrandston.

The Swifts maintained their position after securing a 6-3 win against their plucky opponents the goals coming from Jake Seaton, Dan Scourfield and a brace apiece from Nico Morrison and James Russell.

Carew are still in third place despite only managing a draw against former champs Merlins Bridge. In what was billed as the game of the day, the teams didn’t disappoint as they dished up a 2-2 thriller.

In an end to end game, the Wizards had the better of the first half going into the break 1-0 up but then Carew equalised through Jordan Richards before Lloyd Hughes put them ahead.

Just when a win looked likely up popped Nathan Greene to draw the visitors level for a share of the spoils.

Goodwick continue to be hot on the heels of Monkton as their win over Pennar proved, the Phoenix park outfit winning 4-0.

It was a sobering Saturday for Saundersfoot after they suffered at home against Narberth, the Bluebirds showing little mercy on the hosts by securing a comprehensive 6-1 win.

Geoff Marsh’s strike was the only bright spot for the home team as the visitors ran riot.

In division two, Lawrenny went down 4-0 away at Hakine United seconds while Hundleton’s revival continued with a 3-1 win over Letterston, the goals coming from Jack Blunsden, Connor Hay and Billy Abraham.

A good result for Kilgetty too after they thrashed St Ishmaels 5-2.

In division three, Monkton seconds proved that whatever their first team can do they can do also after they secured a superb home win over Clarbeston Road.

In winning 7-1 they maintained their position for a promotion push, going into this weekend’s game in second place behind Pennar Robins’ reserves.

Jordan Kilby was the star of the show scoring four goals before Liam Burland, Wayne Boswell and Rhys Davies added the others.

Narberth seconds had a good game at home against Fishguard Seconds coming out on top in a close 4-3 win.

Jordan Howells got the ball rolling with an early strike before Callum Phillips and Lewis Hough got in on the act, the latter finishing with a brace.

A win for Carew seconds too, the division’s third place team gaining a win at Pendine.

The Rooks overcame the Gulls winning 6-1. Justin Blewitt scored Pendine’s only goal while Carew’s came from an Adam Muskett hat-trick and goals from Henry Langston, Haydn Shapcott and Scott Richards.

Pennar Robins’ seconds may be top but that didn’t stop them from going down 3-0 at home against Goodwick United seconds while St Clears’ seconds and Pembroke Boro ended 0-0.

A Jay Kennedy strike wasn’t enough for St Florence against Milford United after they went down 4-1 while in

the first round of the division four cup, Pembroke Boro seconds beat St Ishmaels 4-1.

In the league, goals by Ben Hathaway and Craig Manning were all Hundleton seconds had to show for their game against Broad Haven seconds after they lost 7-2, while Pennar thirds had a god win at Kilgetty seconds winning 3-1.

Tom James grabbed Kilgetty’s only goal with Pennar’s coming from Rss James, Marco Valentine and Jamie Groves.

Meanwhile in division five, Carew thirds lost 3-1 at home against Milford Athletic seconds, and Saundersfoot Seconds lost by the same margin at Johnston seconds.
