Carew got their West Wales Intermediate Cup campaign underway with a comprehensive win away at Burry Port.
The Rooks were on top throughout after a brace apiece by Jordan Richards and Scott Fearney and one by Lloyd Hughes.
Richards’ goals ensured he has now scored five goals in his last two games.
In-form Monkton Swifts are through too after they secured a 7-4 win at home against Felinfoel.
If Jordan Richards was on fire for Carew then Jordan Williams was in white hot form for Narberth after his five goals helped the Bluebirds overcome the challenge of St Clears.
Narberth made home advantage count with a 6-2 win, Tony Evans adding the other goal to Williams’ heroics.
Danny Peters scored both for St Clears.
Saundersfoot Sports and Pennar Robins played out an exciting clash with the Sports coming out on top by the odd goal in five.
The hosts won 3-2 to cement themselves in a mid-table position with the goals coming from Jake Webster, Richard Cope and an own goal. Ben Adams and Stuart James scored for the Robins.
In division two the game between Fishguard Sports and Kilgetty was abandoned by the referee on safety grounds, one of two games to fall fall of the weather and with teh forecast not much better for this weekend, football fans in Pembrokeshire can expect some more cancellations.
Hundleton won their first game of the season after they defeated Lawrenny 4-3.
Charlie Perkins scored twice for the hosts with Lloyd Wilson and Connor Hay grabbing the others.
For Lawrenny, Harry Thomas finished with a brace.
Victory too for Carew seconds with a closely fought win over Clarbeston Road seconds.
They won 3-2 to record their sixth win of the season against a team one place above them in the league.
Harvey Langstone, Sam Harts and Haydn Shapcott scored for the hosts.
Pendine had a fine day at home against Narberth seconds. They hammered the Bluebirds’ second string 7-0 in as dominant a display as any team produced on the day.
The home team were indebted to Jamie and Justin Blewitt who both scored twice in the rout with the other goals coming from Morgan Scourfield and a Callum Siddell brace.
Bragging rights in the derby between Pennar Robins’ seconds and Pembroke Boro went with the home team after the Robins’ beat the Boro at Bush Camp 2-1.
Jack Sutherland and Craig Asparassa scored for the winners while Jake Campbell scored the only goal for the Boro.
St Clears’ seconds had an agonising day against Milford Athletic after they were narrowly beaten 5-4 by the visitors.
Joe Gouldingray scored twice for the home team while the other goals came from Andy McCabe and Matthew Morris.
If it was goals you were after then St Florence was the pace to be after their game against Monkton Swifts finished 11-6 to the visitors.
Jay Kennedy scored two for the home team with the others coming from ashley Smith, Lewis Desforges, Adam Roberts and Jake Clarke.
For the Swifts, the goals came from Dan Heeps, Josh Stuart and Rhys Davies while Morgan Day, Corey Mair, Ben Phillips and Luke Hendry all finished with two apiece.
A John Williams brace and one from Dalton Boswell helped Cosheston win 3-1 against Newyland seconds while Kilgetty seconds lost 5-0 against Herbrandston reserves.
Pembroke Boro seconds lost 3-2 against St Ishmaels’ seconds while Pennar Robins’ thirds hammered Monkton Swifts’ seconds 7-0 after Tyler Worrell and Jamie Groves scored twice with the other goals coming from Sonny Price, Nathan Kendrick and Ethan Ball.
In division five, goals from Cam Ennis and Billy Lawrence helped Tenby to a 2-2 draw against Johnston Seconds while Lawrenny seconds had the better for Letterston seconds winning 6-2 after Rhys Jenkins starred with a hat-trick.
Their other goals came from Joe Kidney, James Phillips and Sam Davies.
A win for Saundersfoot Seconds too, finishing as 4-3 victors over Milford Athletic seconds while Monkton Swifts’ thirds won 4-2 at home against Newport Tigers after goals from Ethan Shapcott, Michael Doyle and a James Potter brace.
