Could Carew challenge for league honours this year? That’s the question being posed by many Pembrokeshire football pundits after Robert Scourfield’s side produced another stellar display in defeating Neyland on the weekend.

The Rooks beat the Nomads 8-0 despite playing away from home after a Scott Ferney hat-trick, a brace from Jordan Richards and one each by Jack and Sam Christopher before an own goal compounded the home team’s misery.

Lamphey secured a point away at Clarbeston Road after tying 4-4 with the hosts. The Stags’ goal came from Sonny Phillips and Billy Davies who both finished with two each.

Narberth have had a horrible start to the season and Saturday was no different after the Bluebirds went to Monkton and got hammered 10-0.

Dylan Davies was the star for the Swifts after finishing the game with four goals to his name while James Russell hit the back of the net twice.

The other goals came from Patrick Mcdonagh, Ryan Griffiths, Chris Richards and Ben Nicholas.

Saundersfoot Sports have made a decent start to the season too and they proved this with a solid 3-0 win over Herbrandston on the weekend.

Geoff Marsh scored twice for the hosts and Curtis Hurlow the other.

A win for St Clears too after they beat Pennar Robins 3-2 after goals from Josh Jones, Steve Thomas and Tristan Hancock

In division two, Kilgetty travelled to Broad Haven and beat the hosts 6-2.

In one of their finest performances for some time, The Kingsmoor outfit ran out winners after Richard Tebbut scored three, Jordan Gorman two and Carl Gwyther the other.

Not such a happy day for Hundleton however after they lost 5-0 at home to Fishguard Sports.

Defeat for Lawrenny too, with Johnston beating the home team 3-0.

In division three, Carew seconds produced a good display to draw 2-2 with their counterparts from Goodwick United, Corey HIll and Harry Langsdon scoring the goals for the Rooks.

Monkton Swifts’ seconds had few issues at Fishguard after they secured a 5-0 win thanks to goals from Adam Asparrasa, Harry Turner, Rhys Davies with two and Luke Hendrie.

There was a good game at Jesse Road with Narberth seconds taking on their counterparts from St Clears.

The Bluebirds failed to make home advantage count however after they lost 4-2 against the Saints.

Aron Keane scored the goals for the hosts while St Clears’ goals came from Jason King, Joe Court and a brace by Andrew McCabe.

Three goals by Stuart Slater and one by Jake Campbell were enough for Pembroke Boro to overcome Milford Athletic 4-1 while two from the boot of Callum Syddall and one by Owen Jones ensured Pendine beat Clarbeston Road 3-1.

Pennar Robins’ seconds and St Florence played out a great game at Bush Camp with the the game finishing 4-4.

Grant Overland scored twice for the home team with the other goals coming from Phil Hay and Jack Sutherland.

Jake Clarke, and Richard Attwell scored for the visitors.

Pennar thirds were in action at Camrose seconds and beat the hosts 2-1 after goals by Rhys Sture and Sonny Price while Cosheston beat Broad Haven seconds 3-1 thanks to goals by Ryan Bowen, Dalton Boswell and Nathan Ferrier.

Defeat for Hundleton seconds however after Herbrandston seconds beat them 7-3, Alex Hay, Louis Barnikel and Sam Blunsden scored for the visitors.

A loss for Kilgetty seconds too losing 6-2 at home to Llangwm / Haverfordwest Cricket Club.

Meanwhile, in division five, Monkton Swifts’ seconds beat Carew thirds 6-0, Saundersfoot Seconds drew 1-1 at Letterston seconds while Three goals by Jerome Mansbridge and Mike Ryder together with a fine Billy Lawrence strike meant tenby beat Milford Athletic seconds 7-1

Finally, Lawrenny seconds lost 4-2 at Newport Tigers.
