Kilgetty Under 16s Girls football team are looking for new players to join them.
The girl’s team train at Greenhill astro turf, Tenby, on Tuesday evenings from 7 to 8 pm.
Sessions costing £3 each are led by highly experienced football coach and Kilgetty AFC Chairman Lukas Gamble, with Neil Cross and Sharron Hardwick as assistant coaches.
All Kilgetty coaches have the relevant DBS checks and FAW coaching awards.
The sessions help the girls to develop their skills whilst giving the opportunity to keep fit and get active.
“It is not just about serious training regimes; we want the girls to have fun spending time together playing the game they love. If you are experienced or if you have never kicked a football you are welcome to come along,” said thecoaches.
Girls play in the Under 16s Pembrokeshire league and are awaiting their new kits sponsored by Vehocheck.
The team train and play with Fairtrade footballs donated by Sharron Hardwick, Founder of the Fair Trade In Football Campaign.
The Fairtrade footballs were funded via Wales Council For Voluntary Action grant scheme.
“My campaign is about supporting local and Sialkot football stitching communities. Fairtrade ensures workers get a fair deal with safe and fair working conditions,” said Sharron.
Additional funds called Fairtrade Premiums, an amount paid per each Fairtrade item sold, have been used to provide clean water, educational supplies, health care and more.
The Under 16s girls remarked: “Come and join us, it’s fun and it will help you to get fit and active. You don’t need to be an expert, just get up off the couch and join our team!”
If you would like to join the team please call Lukas on 07870163378.
