The latest Duggie Morris Cup match saw Whitland defeat Carew away in a thrilling encounter. The semi-final is due to be played on June 28.

We saw another strong turnout for All Stars and Junior Training on Thursday as All Stars was moved from Tuesday due to the Duggie Morris Cup match. Great to see so many youngsters out enjoying themselves!

Friday, the Mighty Die Hards took on a Sion Jones Select team. The visitors brought a solid team of experienced players and not so experienced players. All enthusiastically entered into the spirit of Friday night cricket and suitable refreshments. With light fading on the evening, the Die Hards passed the visitors’ total with overs to spare.

On Saturday, the 1st XI defeated Neyland at home, with Dylan Blain starring with the bat in splendid but stifling conditions. The 2nd XI and 3rd XI were not so successful, both being defeated in Stackpole and Haverfordwest, respectively.

Tuesday night saw a Dai Lee captained side take on Neyland in the latest round of the Alec Colley Cup. Batting first, Whitland opened with Dai Lee and Steffan James. Steffan proceeded to produce a virtuoso display of batting that resulted in 110 not out and anchored the Whitland innings in a total of 175 runs.

In reply, Neyland were restricted to 124, Stephen Murray top scoring with 45. Some tight bowling and wickets from Wayne Howells, Conor Bowen, Ben Harvey and Iestyn Scourfield secured the win.

On the same night, the latest round of All Stars Cricket saw another great turnout out of youngsters at the Hendygwyn Oval.
