An excellent game of cricket between two young teams, played in a great spirit and with no little skill on show.

Hook batted first, setting a big total. Owen Phelps 26 retired (four boundaries), Lucas Davies 26 retired (three boundaries and a six), Seth Willington 27 retired (four boundaries and a six), Niall Griffiths 22 not out (three boundaries and a six) and Harry Makepeace nine not out (two boundaries) all batted really positively to set the total.

For Neyland, Rhys Power 1 for 5 and Kacey Arran 1 for 17 took the wickets. Liam Rees also bowled a very good spell.

In reply, Dillon James 1 for 9 took a wicket with the first ball of the innings. Liam Rees 25 retired (four boundaries), Rhys Power 12 and Kacey Arran 18 all batted very nicely to make a good fist of the chase.

Niall Griffiths 1 for 3 and Liam Miller 1 for 1 were the other wicket-takers for Hook. Bailey Goodridge also bowled a very good spell.
