End of season celebrations for Narberth Cricket Club

Life Member Mr. Nick Evans presented the fantastic ladies of the club with bouquets of flowers as a small token for their hard work in all facets of club life over the past year.

Narberth Cricket Club recently held their annual end of season celebrations at the town’s Rugby Club.

To begin the ceremonies Club Chairman, Huw Simpkins welcomed all attendees, including - County President Nick Evans; County Chairman Richard Merriman; as well as welcoming Harley Young (representing club sponsors Young Bros); and Rhian Hayes (representing sponsors G D Harries).

Sincere thanks were offered to all of the clubs sponsors - Young Bros, G D Harries, Andrew Price and LHP Accountants on the evening, and also thanks to Sheena and all of the staff at the Rugby Club.

Special presentations were made to several members of the club that work tirelessly to provide the cricketing facilities in Narberth and in addition trophies were presented to the following very worthy recipients:

The Chris Richards Memorial Cup was presented to First Team Player of the Year Kyle Quartermaine, presented by Captain Ben Hughes and Mrs Emma Richards.

Second Team Player of the Year, Wil Nicholas presented by Seconds Captain Richard Prout.

Narberth Third team proudly won The Ken Morris Trophy this year and the winning captain, Rob Nicholas presented the trophy to Narberth Cricket Club Secretary and Trophy organiser Mr. Richard Howell.

Most Improved Player of the Year Award went to Elliott Evans, presented by Club Chairman Richard Merriman.

The Rowland and Yvonne Hughes Junior Achievement Award also went to Wil Nicholas, presented by Jordan Howell.

Charlie Phillips was the recipient of the Ormond Youth Cup Outstanding Contribution Award, presented by Harley Young of Club Sponsors Young Bros.

The Chairman’s Award went to Mick Haltham for his outstanding contributions to the club over the past 12 months.

Loui Davies collected a Hat Trick trophy on behalf of his brother Ben Quartmermaine, presented by Rhian Hayes of G D Harries.

First team Captain Ben Hughes presented a Century Certificate to Lewis Hough.

First Team Captain Ben Hughes also presented another Century Certificate to Kyle Quartmermaine.

Finally, County Chairman and Narberth Cricket Club Life Member Mr. Nick Evans presented the fantastic ladies of the club with bouquets of flowers as a small token for their hard work in all facets of club life over the past year.
