Pembroke Dock Cricket Club is celebrating being awarded insport accreditation - supporting disability sport.
This will provide parents with disabled children to have confidence in the club’s ability to deliver coaching for their children.
The management committee would like to sincerely thank the disability officer for Sport Pembrokeshire, Angela Miles, for her helpfulness.
Also, the committee would like to acknowledge Pembrokeshire Community Chest, Cricket Wales and Waitrose for their financial assistance; clubs would not be able to survive without their continued support of these organisations and companies.
Three disabled children come along to the coaching sessions; the club has an experienced and talented coaching team who are all ECB and are DBS (CRB).
Cricket Wales have recognised the efforts by the management committee, and as a consequence, their head coach for disability cricketers is visiting the club on the Wednesday, August 19, to deliver a coaching clinic.
The club has a long association within the community of Pembroke Dock, however, they feel they need to refresh their association and integrate more with the community; all children Under 15 are invited to come along on Wednesday - 2 pm onwards.
