After a period of time with no Under 11s in Cresselly Cricket Club, it was great to see the squad open up their season with an excellent victory over a good Neyland team.
Cresselly batted first and scored 248. There was strong batting performances from Joseph Davies, Owen Grieve, Zak Hughes and Jamie Hammond. What was more impressive was how they handled the pace bowling from some sharp Neyland bowlers.
The bowing was a real strength and there were some quality overs from Dan Izzard, Ellis Philips, Fern Grieve, Jessica Lewis and Dominic Gandy. Charlie Hammond and Monty Clarke also impressed behind the stumps. This was the first ever game with a junior hard ball and they restricted the Neyland team to 219. Well done to everyone involved!
