A trio of talented young artists from Pembroke are celebrating after winning an Easter-inspired art competition.

Harry Harlinss, four, Leah Tankard, six, and Nathan Edward, eight, saw off fierce competition from dozens of other local children to win the competition, launched by Specsavers Opticians, Pembroke Dock. Prizes included an Easter egg, Crayola merchandise, balloons, stickers and a magazine.

The Dimond Street store organised the competition to celebrate the launch of Crayola’s new eyewear range, which is exclusive to Specsavers. There were three age categories: two to three years, four to six years, and seven to eight years, with all entries proudly displayed in the opticians’ window.

The runners-up of the four to six years category, Lily-Mai Hugh and Jack Barrell, both five-years-old, were also presented with prizes.

Ellie Thomas-Wigley, store director at Specsavers Opticians, Pembroke Dock, said: “We wanted to give our young customers something fun and creative to do over the Easter break and we weren’t disappointed with the entries.

“It was lovely to see so many of the young members of our community take part. Crayola is internationally-renowned, so we’re pleased to have celebrated its fantastic new eyewear range in such a colourful way.”
