STRAWBERRY
CREAM TEAS
Last Saturday saw a fullhouse for the annual strawberry cream teas at Whtiland Memorial Hall, with no spare seats available at one point. The rain kept away all afternoon and the sun even showed up at some point.
All in all, a very good afternoon, with lovely local strawberries, delicious fresh scones from Rhydwen Bakery and lots of cream and jam kindly donated by the Whitland Co-op Food Store.
The Memorial Hall committee would like to thank everyone who supported this event and Clr. Mrs Sue Allen, Mayor of Whitland, for attending. It is hoped that you all enjoyed the afternoon.
PS: Apologies for the quality of some of the jam tarts, which were well below standard (refund available if you let us know).
Whist drives
Regular whist drives are held at the Memorial Hall, Market Street, Whitland, on Wednesdays (1st, 2nd and 4th of the month) and the second Saturday.
