A Feast of Music
and Jazz
The school choir, various soloists, instrumentalists and the jazz group will keep you entertained during the evening, under the leadership of Mrs. Lynne Davies, head of music. Guest artiste for the evening will be Mr. Peter Totterdale, an ex-pupil of the school, who has sung with many local choirs.
A feast of entertainment not to be missed, so please go along and support the pupils at this event. Tickets are £5 each, and are available at the reception of the school.
Meat draw
Winners of the Whitland Sports and Social Club meat draw this week were as follows: £15 meat voucher - Jeff Court; £15 meat voucher - G.G.; two pints - Sooty; £10 - P.C.R.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the first three prizes will be the same again, with the fourth being £5 cash, for which the winner must be present to claim the prize. There will also be £100, 13 keys, in return for Open the Box.
Rugby Club
There will be no Bingo tonight (Friday) due to the Youth presentation.
Memorial Hall
Weightwatchers is held at the Memorial Hall every Monday evening at 6 pm.
Cricket Club
Last week's winners of the 49 Club were Mark and Ruth Lee with number 15.
This week's ball sponsors are Castle Scaffolding, Central Garage and Classic Kitchens.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the 1st XI are home to Llangwm in Division One, while the 2nd XI are away to Camrose and Spittal 1st XI in Division Three. The 3rd XI have a free weekend. Matches start at 1.45 pm
On Wednesday, June 3, the 1st XI are away to Carew in the Harrison Allen Bowl, with a 6 pm start, while the following day, Thursday, June 4, the County XI play UWIC, starting at 2 pm.
