GARDENING CLUB
At the September meeting, club members enjoyed a most interesting talk entitled 'The garden in autumn' by Wyn Beynon from Burry Port, who has had 40 years of gardening experience. He spoke of the need to slow down at this time of year and reflect on what needs to be changed or improved in our gardens - about clearing and composting, preparing pots for winter and spring flowering and storing fruit and vegetables. He impressed on everyone how each of their gardens was an expression of their own individuality.
The next meeting will be on October 16 when the club will be holding its annual general meeting, followed by a talk by John Davies.
Club meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm at Whitland Town Hall, where there is easy parking. New members are always welcome.
