If that is the case, then the Bump to Baby Group will provide you with a great opportunity to meet with other Mums (or Mums to be) and benefit from their experience by exchanging ideas and tips. The sessions are organised by the local health visitor, Diana Beavan (tel. 01994240132), and Lynwen (tel. 07837396016) from Twf, who are on hand to offer advice. The group meets every Tuesday from 10 am.
YCwtch Llaeth - Whitland BreastFeeding Support Group: Research shows that new mothers in Wales are less likely to have discussed breastfeeding in their antenatal appointments, less likely to have been shown how to position their baby at the breast, feel less confident in recognising whether their baby has had enough milk, feel less confident about breastfeeding in public and are less likely to be given contact details of helplines and community support groups than new mothers in England. The Whitland Y Cwtch Llaeth has received funding to offer three free Breastfeeding Basics workshops between January and April to expectant parents living in Carmarthenshire. The first workshop is planned for January 24 and will be held at Y Cwtch Llaeth, Whitland Memorial Hall. Please contact us via the Facebook page or phone 01545 580559 if you would like to know more or to book a place. The Whitland Support Group meets weekly on Thursdays in the Memorial Hall, from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm. Come along to meet and chat to other breastfeeding mothers and meet the breastfeeding counsellor.
