On Friday, November 30, Tenby Library is holding a coffee morning to support Carers’ Rights Day, 10 am to 12 noon.
Carers’ Rights Day is run by Carers UK to bring together organisations in the UK to help carers know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to. There will also be a selection of books on caring on display in the library which are available to borrow.
Christmas is on its way and the post-box for letters to Santa is coming out on Monday, November 26. Children can write a letter to Santa, post it in the box and be sure of getting a reply before Christmas. They usually hold a Christmas tea party in the library at the end of term where children can collect their letters, so watch out for more information on that.
Tenby Library are also holding a Family Christmas Crafts activity on Saturday, December 1 at 11 am. This will be suitable for children aged three and above and their parents/grandparents as we are offering a range of craft activities. This event is free but booking is essential. There will be refreshments available, so if you have any dietary restrictions, please let the library know when booking.
If you own a smartphone, laptop or tablet computer and have questions about it the library has a Digital Champion Volunteer, Roger, who has a drop-in session every Monday morning 10 am to 12 noon, just bring along your device and ask your question. There’s no need to book and it’s free. If you want some dedicated time then there are also two bookable 30 minute periods, at 12 o’clock and at 12.30 pm.
If Saundersfoot is more convenient for you, our other Digital Champion Volunteer Simon will be there on Tuesday, November 6, from 10 am to 1 pm; it is still free but it is necessary to book in advance. Call Saundersfoot Library on 01437 776050 or Tenby Library to book.
Tenby Library have new novels in this month by Frederick Forsyth, Lesley Pearse, Ian Rankin, Alan Titchmarsh and Fay Weldon. New non-fiction includes Apples of Wales, The Self-Care Project, the new autobiography by Roger Daltrey and new history books on Hannibal, Queen Victoria and Arthur. If they are not immediately available, items can be reserved for a small fee, £1.30 or 90p (concessions), and they will notify you when they are ready for collection.
