Report and pictures by Meyrick Brown
Adverse weather conditions leading to a delayed silage harvest meant that the Clunderwen YFC Show committee called off all of this year's field events when they met two days before the show was due to be held.
The large amount of standing grass on the show fields would have endangered both humans and animals and also rendered the crop unusable.
However, what was termed by chairman Andrew Davies as a "condensed" event for horticultural went ahead in the Community Hall as planned.
Entries were very good in all sections and the public, who turned up in good numbers, were not denied this part of the show spectacle.
Secretary Lynys Davies expressed the appreciation of the show committee to everyone who had continued to lend their support in less than ideal circumstances.
