Sir, At last a member of Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. Pat Davies, has actually acknowledged that people are opposed to the build at Brynhir; over 800 people have now joined Tenby Greenspace Preservation Society to object to the development.

Is Tenby able to cope with approximately an extra 600 people and 300 cars, I don’t think so.

A local development for local people! What actually is a local? A member of Tenby Town Council stated that people with relatives of people who live in Tenby and someone who has actually lived in Tenby for one week is classed as a local! And what they omit to state is that a council operates a priority system, people who are already on the list, not necessarily from Tenby. This has already happened in many Welsh towns, a vast majority of the council tenants are from outside Wales.

Could PCC also inform us where the money is coming from for the cost of infrastructure. We do know that no developer was interested in the purchase of the land because it was not financially viable. When looking at PCC’s financial statement, we are at a loss where the money is coming from.

We need to protect our green space, are we not in a climate disaster, we need this space for our future generations. Pembrokeshire County Council are now in partnership with Plantlife to conserve and restore traditional hay meadows, why on earth would PCC want to build a concrete jungle on this green space.
