Six months ago I moved into my flat here in Tenby after spending most of my life in and around the London area.

At reaching the age of 70 years, I planned to retire to this beautiful part of Wales and now enjoy each day a view of the sea and Caldey Island in the distance.

What has been unexpected is the warmth of the welcome I have received from the local people of Tenby.

The kindness, support and friendliness has been overwhelming and, through your paper, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation.

To move at my age is daunting, but the lovely local people have made it all worthwhile.

I have involved myself in lots of local activities and will support the town in its continued appeal to attract visitors and hope to continue this work long into my retirement.
