Vandals have caused a setback to Saundersfoot children’s play park re-opening.

The clerk to the village’s community council reported on Thursday (July 30) morning that after recent repairs had been conducted with a view to the facility located next to the Sports and Social Club opening it’s gates, vandals had struck once again.

“While returning to Saundersfoot play park this morning to reopen it, after the recent repairs had been confirmed safe, it is with sadness and anger that the park will have to remain closed for the foreseeable future due to the repairs being vandalised again,” said clerk Melanie Priestley.

“I am not sure when the park will open but at the moment it is unsafe to use.

“This has now been reported to the police who are viewing CCTV of the areas leading to the park. If anyone has any information please contact me on 07525007068,” she added.
