At the beginning of the Covid-19 lockdown, Saundersfoot resident Diane Jones was making face protectors and donating them to care homes, district nurses and many vulnerable and elderly residents in Saundersfoot and Pembrokeshire. More recently she has turned her talents to making three-layer, washable face masks.
Conscious of hygiene regulations Diane makes the masks available either by the fabulous display on her wall or by leaving a selection available on a basket at the front of her house on Wogan Terrace (weather permitting of course!). They are also available at Ocean Hair hairdressers in Brewery Terrace.
All the money she raises goes to the Wales Air Ambulance Charity, RNLI and City Hospice, with over £650 raised so far!
“I’m so proud of my mum!” said daughter Toni Evans. “She is always doing things for other people, she is a real ‘unsung hero’ in these strange times.”
Huge thanks goes to Little & Large Lite Bites and Ocean Hair for their support and to Diana Rogers for donating lots of beautiful fabric.
