A fly-tipping case where over a dozen old tyres have been dumped in Cosheston is being investigated by the council.
Over the weekend the matter which occurred at the Ford lane area was reported to Pembrokeshire County Council by one local resident, who told the Observer: “Who do they think has to go and pick it all up? They won’t degrade - morons!
“I hope you can use this to highlight the ongoing issues we have to put up with from people within our community.”
The Council was notified about the fly-tipping at Cosheston late on Friday (November 13) and staff have been tasked to clear it up today (Monday).
Clr. Cris Tomos, Cabinet Member for the Environment, Public Protection and the Welsh Language, asked anyone who had information on the offence to come forward.
“Pembrokeshire County Council has set up a dedicated fly-tipping team and offenders will be prosecuted wherever possible,” he said.
“This include a £100 reward for tip-offs that lead to a Fixed Penalty Notice or a successful prosecution for fly-tipping.
“We are determined to stamp out this problem.”
