Two people have been arrested by police following a disturbance in Narberth on Saturday which left a man with serious injuries.

At approximately 11.50 pm, a call was received reporting that around seven people were involved in an ongoing disturbance in High Street.

Officers attended the street which was very busy due to a function taking place that night.

A 22-year-old man sustained serious, but not life-threatening, injuries to his lips and was conveyed to Withybush Hospital after being treated by paramedics.

A 23-year-old and a 19-year-old were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further enquiries.

However, police are anxious to trace a number of other suspects.

"There were several witnesses to this serious assault and police are appealing for these witnesses to come forward to assist with identifying the males responsible," said a spokesperson.
