Tribute has been paid to the fourth person that passed away following the Cleddau River tragedy last month.
Police confirmed on Friday (November 5) that, sadly forty-one-year-old Andrea Powell from the Bridgend area, who was in hospital following the incident had died.
“Our thoughts are with her family, and all those involved in this tragic incident,” said a police spokesperson.
“We are supporting her family, and would ask for their privacy to be respected at this very difficult time.”
A tribute from Andrea’s family reads as follows: “As a family we are distraught by the loss of Andrea, she will be deeply missed.
“She was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister, who loved life. We would like to thank everyone for their support at this horrific time.
“As a family we would now like time to grieve and would ask to be given privacy to do so.”
Three others died on the day of the incident after a group of nine adults got into difficulties during a paddle-boarding excursion.
They were named as twenty-four-year-old Morgan Rogers, from Cefin Coed, Merthyr Tydfil; forty-year-old Nicola Wheatley, from Pontardulais, Swansea; and forty-two-year-old Paul O’Dwyer, from Sandfields, Port Talbot.
Dyfed-Powys Police have confirmed that a woman from the South Wales area was arrested on Friday (November 5) on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter as part of the investigation.
She has been released under investigation.
