Transition Narberth, a local project exploring Narberth's transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future, have planned a series of public events for spring 2009.

Spokeswoman Sally Woods said: "The schedule launches on Wednesday, March 18, with a screening of 'A Convenient Truth' at Narberth CP School. The film is an informative and inspirational documentary that explores innovative, cost-effective and environmentally sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by communities worldwide.

"The film, which starts at 7.30 pm, will be followed by group discussions, aiming to explore how such solutions can be implemented within our local local community. Doors open at 7.15 pm and refreshments will be available.

"The aim of Transition Narberth is to inspire, support and encourage local people to promote a compelling and engaging vision of a more resilient, self-reliant future. We believe that the global financial crisis makes such a transition desirable; climate change makes it essential; and peak oil makes it inevitable.
