A temporary order to prohibit all vehicular traffic on routes that the Tenby 10k covers will be in place at the end of the month.
Members of Tenby Town Council were notified of the traffic order by Pembrokeshire County Council at their meeting on Tuesday night.
“The order is necessary to enable the Tenby 10k running event to take place on Sunday, July 31. The restrictions will be implemented on a rolling basis as the race progresses, with each road re-opened after the last athlete,” explained PCC’s head of highways and construction, Darren Thomas, in correspondence.
The east bound lane of Marsh Road, which will be used for the outward and inward leg of the race, will remain closed for the duration of the event.
Tudor Square and High Street will be closed approximately 30 minutes before the pedestrianisation scheme commences to enable the start of the race to take place.
The restrictions will come into force between 10.30 am and 12.30 pm, and pedestrian access will be maintained.
