Tinman Tuesday Kilgetty and surrounding areas will be collecting essential food items and toiletries donated by local residents on Tuesday, January 19, for PATCH and Pembrokeshire Foodbank.

In addition to collecting food and toiletries, Tinman Tuesday Kilgetty are asking for donations of pet food items in support of Cariad Pet Food Bank, a project by Cariad Pet Therapy CIC funded by the WCVA in response to COVID-19. Cariad Pet Food Bank are supporting pets and pet owners during hardship and adjustment in Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. Due to current restrictions collections have been cut to once a month where Tinman Kilgetty will safely collect essential items from outside of people’s houses in Kilgetty and the surrounding areas.

“After last year’s fantastic response from our local community, we want to continue collecting for the local Foodbanks as they need our support. We have already had several messages from people wishing to donate, including some who are shielding,” said Tinman Tuesday Kilgetty and Surrounding Areas

The Foodbanks are requesting tinned, packet and dried food, including drinks like UHT milk, tea, coffee and soft drinks. Foods should have at least three months on the use-by date. Items such as baby products, toilet rolls, sanitary products, toothpaste and other toiletries, household cleaning products and pet food are also accepted.
