Tinman Tuesday collections are continuing in both Kilgetty and Narberth areas for local foodbanks, after receiving generous local support over the last 12 months.

Tinman Tuesday Kilgetty and Narberth Tinman have their own Facebook groups run by volunteers and both collections will now take place on the first Tuesday of the month.

The next collection in Kilgetty and surrounding areas will be on Tuesday, June 1, between 9 am and 3 pm. This collection will be going to PATCH who are requesting tinned beans, spaghetti, rice pudding, custard and jars of meat paste, in addition to any other tinned, packet and dried food, including drinks like UHT milk, tea, coffee and soft drinks.

The Narberth and surrounding area Tinman Tuesday collections are donated to Narberth based Pembrokeshire Foodbank.

For both Tinman collections donated items should be left out on the doorstep or in a safe area at the requested date and time. Food items should have at least three months on the use by date. Items such as baby products, toilet rolls, sanitary products, toothpaste and other toiletries, household cleaning products and pet food are also accepted.

“We are amazed and overwhelmed by the continued kindness shown in our areas in Pembrokeshire. We have regular and one-off donations coming in every month and often we cannot believe how generous the donations are. Thank you Pembrokeshire for your care and kindness!” said both Tinman Tuesday teams.
