Plans proposing new tourist accommodation in Penally were approved this week.
Members of Pembrokeshire County Council’s planning and rights of way committee who visited Penally for a site meeting last week, discussed the application to erect 45 self-catering units, on land to the rear of the Night Owl, submitted by Ms Patricia Henriksson, at a meeting on Monday.
The chalet style units would be sited along a new road which would enter the site from the south-east corner and extend westwards into the site.
The proposals also include drainage works, the provision of wildlife protection and biodiversity enhancements and additional landscaping.
Despite the plans drawing protestors who greeted members of the planning committee in the village last week to voice their objections, the application was given the thumbs up at County Hall.
