Sir,
All wreaths are now available at Tenby’s De Valence Pavilion for this year’s Remembrance and Armistice Parades. Please can a representative of each organisation collect and pay for the wreaths before November 10. Invoices are included and to be made payable to ‘The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal’ with the name of your organisation on the reverse of each cheque for accurate record-keeping.
The customary Poppy Appeal launch is at Sainsbury’s on Saturday, October 28, and we shall be there with some members of Tenby’s RBL from 11 am to 2 pm.
Also, out in force are our wonderful young people representing tThe Army Cadets, the Air Training Corps and the Sea Cadets. They will be around on each weekend up to Saturday, November 11. So, please support this worthy cause as generously as you always have during past years.
Due to limited stock supplies this year, we’ve been limited in only providing 50-plus boxes of the usual 130. We have therefore had to select prominent shops, post offices, stores, all the schools and fuel stations around Tenby, and the outlying villages of New Hedges, St. Florence, Manorbier and Penally.
This is the last of our five years as Poppy Appeal Organisers. Therefore, if anyone is interested in taking over the role for Tenby (KGA21 area), please can you contact me on 01834 814142. You can leave your contact details for me to respond. I am happy to provide information about the role, providing a smoother transition for next year.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing generosity.
Ross and Chris Morris, PAOs Tenby
