Six candidates have put their names forward to fill the vacancy on the South Ward of Tenby town council, following the resignation of former Mayor, Tony Brown last month.
With the vacancy existing, any persons wishing to be considered for co-option were invited to apply in writing to the Town Clerk by April 15.
At Tuesday night’s remote meeting of the town council, it was revealed to members that six people had applied for the voluntary role - James Cornwell, Paul Deverson, Catherine Graham, Robert Mayhew, Jason Rossiter and Gary Tapley.
With councillors still unable to meet in person due to Covid-19 regulations, the vote has gone to a secret postal ballot of members of the town council - with the candidate who gains the most votes to be chosen at the next meeting on May 11.
